Rank Networks: Google Business Profile management and local link building
    Site Audit

Every page of the website checked, with what to fix first

A profile sends people to a website, and a slow or broken one loses them. Site Audit crawls the site, runs 65 checks, adds what Search Console knows, and tells you what to fix first.

    What it does

Site Audit crawls a website page by page and runs 65 checks: duplicate or missing titles and descriptions, heading problems, broken links and images, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, image sizes and more. Four findings come from Search Console: pages with no impressions, low click rates, canonicals overridden by Google, and two pages competing for one search. Each issue lists the pages and the fix, and a weekly email reports the keyword movement.

    A real-life example

Say you look after the website of a dental group in Birmingham.

Before: Nobody knew that forty pages carried the same title and the sitemap pointed at pages that redirected.

After: The first crawl lists both, grouped by issue with the pages under each, and the fix steps. You ignore the two that do not matter, with a reason, and the next crawl marks what is new.

    How you would use it

    1. 1.Open Site Audit from the Audits menu and add the website.
    2. 2.Set the page limit and start the crawl.
    3. 3.Read the overview: pages crawled, issues, errors, warnings, broken links, orphan pages.
    4. 4.Open an issue to see the pages affected and the fix steps, and the Pages table for titles, headings and links in.
    5. 5.Ignore an issue with a reason, re-crawl later, and read the weekly keyword email.
Site Audit: the issue list for one site, each with its severity and the pages affected, and the fix panel open on one.

    How it works

    The mechanism, in plain words

What runs behind the page, what it reads, and where Google's rules shape it.

    • The crawler follows internal links from the home page up to the page limit you set, up to two thousand pages.
    • Each page is checked for 65 things across titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, internal links, images, sitemaps, share tags and page basics.
    • With Search Console connected, four findings are added from Google's own data for the site.
    • Ignored issues keep their reason and can be brought back; a re-crawl marks the rows that are new since the last one.
    • A weekly email reports keyword movement for the site from Search Console.
